Zulu Nyala Group
Zulu Nyala began back in May of 1981 when Trevor Shaw, the
founding member of the Zulu Nyala Group, decided to take a risk
and buy a remote 15 500 acre piece of land in the middle of Kwa-
Zulu Natal, an undeveloped but superb wilderness area. ‘Bester’s
Game Ranch’, as it was then known, was simply the land with a
few small, basic lodges dotted around the mountain side. Shaw
named the property Zulu Nyala.
A magical mix of worlds Take some big city glamour, mix in
country escape; add a twist of the bushveld, warm hospitality,
excellent food and truly great value – and you’ll have Zulu
Nyala Country Manor. Situated in gracious Chartwell in Northern
Johannesburg on 13 beautifully landscaped acres, Country Manor
is ideal for conferencing, business trips and meeting, functions
and pampering mini-breaks.
The Heritage Safari Lodge was originally built in the 1940’s
as a hotel, and was a landmark pit-stop for weary travellers
between Lourenço Marques and Durban. Acquired in 1996, the
gracious building was lovingly restored to its original colonial
grandeur, enhanced with new accommodation, and tastefully themed
to highlight Zululand’s unique cultural development.
Acquiring a gemstone represents an investment that is both
tangible and intangible. The lasting financial value is real and
very important, but the intangible emotional value of each
precious stone you own is immeasurable. There is the joy that
comes from owning an item of such beauty, but often a gem
represents a life milestone or important relationship, and may
go on to become a treasured family heirloom.
